Nervous is a record label that's been out since the 80s probably and was huge in the 90s for house music and especially kind of New York style and the stuff that they're pumping out has a lot of that hip hop vocals but also kind of throwback nostalgic stuff too and man they got some really good tracks that have come out in the last 6 months sorry to keep adding comments but I really like this video man you're killing it. I also feel that nervous is kind of like the ministry of sound from the US where they really will take advantage of certain tracks that are viral maybe but they're not as dirty as ministry of sound parks around ripping artists off

Wow I really wasn't noticing that these baselines really are being inspired by the melodic house and techno genre but I hear it now. Also I understand that fisher is dominating the charts but I do not think of him as the biggest tech house DJ I guess that's just me and what I prefer and it's not him and his style there's just so much other good stuff out there and some really great artists that are starting to get multiple tracks on the top 100

It's funny you say that the influence of drum and bass in the US I think that's great because it's not been the case for quite a while it used to be very popular. Another thing that I'm really liking is all of the UK bass being mixed into tech house and minimal deep tech and having those kind of hip Hop and raga influences I don't know if it's on the uptick but I really love dabbling and kind of that genre of tech house and minimal deep tech and UK Bass and the overlap however I disagree that Skrillex is having a huge impact. I really think for the mainstream and big events he's dabbling in that area but man there are so many other good artists that are doing stuff with that style

I think something interesting that is happening over the last year is crowds being more into minimal tech house now I'm not talking huge crowds and main stages but smaller clubs especially in Europe. As well there is a certain type of minimal tech house that I think overlaps really well with regular tech house and it also on average has a higher BPM

Good presentation! Interesting enough, Bass house influences and Jackin house are in full swing and have been for the last 3 years. I started introducing the stabs, big bass, and boombap, sounds early on, It was bigger in the UK and my sets were a little more UK centric. I was almost training my audience for what to expect. I think the overall House BMP is going to average out at 130 especially for Deephouse and Mininmal. TECHHOUSE will be at 134 by the end of this year that’s because of Progressive house and Melodic Techno influences, it feels like that already. I usually start off a set at 126 and peak at 134 but rarely go under 128 anymore. Surprisingly the Bpm in Basshouse feels like it’s actually slowed down a bit staying at 124 -126 I feel like AFROTECH AND BREAKBEAT will be the trending genres in the next couple of years.

I do think there's something magic about 128 BPM, and I don't know for sure what it is, but I have an idea. There is a clean mathematical property to 128. Each 8-bar phrase is exactly 15 seconds. That means in one minute, you get exactly 4 phrases. I do think our brains subconsciously synchronize to clocks because of how omnipresent they are in our lives, so that synchronicity may be satisfying to us in some way. Also, I think it plays well on social media. Instagram stories default to 15 seconds for static images or reel re-shares. You'll get exactly one phrase in that. Max story is 60 seconds (four phrases). Tiktok also pushes you towards 15 or 60 second clips.

I think EDM is heavily influencing this sort ot tech house. Tech house used to be a lot more stripped back. Early 00s tech house is elite. 2010s started to go more minimal . Now pretty much EDM with absurd drops. Still like some modern stuff.

Crazy how relevant tech house has managed to stay. I probably got into it around the end of 2015 but I’d argue that around 2017 is when it really took off with Chris Lake, Fisher, Walker and Royce it kind of backpedaled from the success of Bass House, G House with many of those artists switching to tech house by 2019. Electro House, Big Room and Progressive probably had it’s run from 2010-2015 then Future Bass, Trap, Synth Pop and dubstep taking the EDM mantle from 2016-2019. Deep house probably stayed big from 2013-2018. Crazy that it’s been 7 years since Fishers Ya Kidding came out and he’s still relevant in 2024. I think Genres like Drum and Bass, Breakbeat and Garage will be the new thing within the next 5 year along side some new house sub genre.

Very nice video! There are too few of these types (analyses) on youtube. What I have noticed is that remixes and hypeedit have experienced an enormous hype. Especially with the genre Afro House and Tech House is also adapting in this direction. Many "remixes", i.e. the use of vocals from other well-known songs, are on the market. In addition, many tracks are becoming more percussion-heavy, as you say, leaving much more room for bass grooves and perc grooves that go beyond the former tech house genre. perhaps this development is also influenced and encouraged by other genres such as afro house/latin. People like the groove that it creates, it's not the "boring" 4 on the floor, it's a bit more exciting and you can maybe "swing your hips" a bit better.

I believe that Tech house is getting faster because more Tech house artists are playing Main stages ever since John Summit started playing mainstage. He started speeding up. BPM sound more like techno. Artist are following that lead. EDM used to be at 128 for main stage and big rooms add Tech house used to be for smaller rooms after hours smaller stages but now that’s changing to where Tech house is being played in the big rooms. So more energy is needed to get the crowd in that zone. But afro is now taking the place of deep and tropical for more intimate clubs
